where i've seen this link/image/file what have you and posted it all around, but not actually listened to it. what if i'm supporting crap? the point i meant to make, though, was that odds are even or better i'll never actually listen to this file (probably better because of this post though) and that sometimes i wade through a lot of information and don't process nearly enough of it.
If you want to know about good music from the last thirty years or so and don't know where to begin, Brian Eno is about as good a starting point as you can find. I was searching for things by him at Streetlight Records in Santa Cruz, CA, when I found this, and since it was a David Byrne project and I hadn't yet gone through the David Byrne Live experience that would somewhat ruin him for me, I picked it up. I loved it, but I really loved it when I found out it was made in 1981, and that it wasn't another take on sampling and ambient beats, it was the prototype (or one of them). Another album I could not put away for a long time.
What are your three favorite album covers of all-time? Any honorable mentions?
This question makes me feel icky because it's been a long time since I've bought CDs (I don't have nearly the time to listen to music as I used to, and, er, I don't always have a copy of things in my hand when I am).
So, instead, I'm gonna choose three albums that I couldn't stop listening to in 1998. Each of them spent at least six weeks in my changer, often more, each of them felt widly new and creative to me at the time, and I don't care that much about any of the artists anymore. So it goes.
